Title: Great for Details
Review: I use these on my 35mm and 50mm lenses to get wedding ring and other small details and they work AMAZING. Great sharpness, and saves me from having to carry a macro lens around with me on a wedding day. Great value for the quality photos they create.

Title: Can’t beat it for the price. Solves an annoying issue.
Review: Bought for my Canon 80-200 f2.8L due to that lenses poor minimum focus distance. With the +1 filter on, I can comfortably shoot portraits close up, and the quality is great. No noticeable effects in real world shooting, which is nice. However, it isn’t a perfect solution for this. When a filter is equipped, you must essentially focus partially by moving, as it seems to greatly compact the range of focus. When the +1 filter is equipped, I can neither focus on infinity, or focus at the closest focusing distance, but that is the reason it is a range of filters. Also, very fun to essentially convert normal lenses into rudimentary macro lenses that yield decent results. Well worth the money

Title: They did not work as expected. Received them and they had a yellow haze all over them
Review: I was not happy with these at all. They failed to produce quality images, and I was not happy when I took them out of the package and noted the cloudy haze all over the glass. Despite cleaning them, they failed to produce a quality image. I would not advise if you were looking to obtain tack sharp images in macro photography.

Title: Vivitar 72mm Lens
Review: I selected the Vivitar macro lenses because of their reputation as an affordable source of quality products. Since I do not do a lot of macro photography, I purchased this product instead of a much more expensive dedicated macro lense for my Canon 7D. Threading is smooth and the lenses are stackable to obtain a variety of magnifications. As others have reported on similar lenses from other providers (edge distortions and auto-focus problems), I have not experienced edge distortions (my eye may not me as particular looking for such things) and I have tried out the +1, +2, and +4 lenses and it appears that auto-focus works just fine (others may have experienced auto focus issues on other lenses because they may have been too close to the subject). Bottom line, I highly recommend these lenses as they appear to be of excellent quality for the price.

Title: nice set of filters
Review: i used these on a rokinon 85mm lens and a d5100 camera. quite amazing results. there is no documentation with the kit, so you will be winging it with focus distance etc. but i anticipate a lot of fun with them. forget about moving targets, by the time you have the right lens, setup and focus, your subject will be gone.

Title: OK closeup lenses
Review: These lenses are OK and when the highest magnification is used it distorts the image around the edges which is completely unacceptable in high quality close up production. The best option for a high quality image is a set of bellows or a closeup lens designed for closeup work. This is a poor man’s close up system. The lower and moderate magification lenses work fairly well and the image quality is very acceptable.

Title: Good value
Review: I chose this set because I wanted to experiment with macro-photography but did not want to tie up a lot of money on something I may use only a few times. Camera auto-focus works properly with all filters, images are sharp and clear. The only negative I have found so far is that the anodized finish on one of the filters has ‘holidays’ that let the aluminium show through. Not likely to affect the image…Stacking works fine, even with all four filters, as long as you stack them +! +2 +4 +10. Color quality may suffer a bit, though. I noticed some internal reflections – apparently the glass does not have an anti-reflective coating. Minor quibble, especially in light of the fact that most photo guides recommend against extreme stacking like this.Overall, very satisfied.

Review: The rings on which the Macro filter sets are mounted are all of the same width making it impossible to stack the no 10 and the no 4. I also have another set from another brand in which all the 4 filters could be stacked together ay less than a fourth the price of the Vivitar se, but unfortunately, the no 10 macro filter from the older set fell down and a small piece has chipped off – this did not effect the quality of images, but I wanted a proper set so I purchased this set. Unfortunately, I opened unboxed the Vivitar set after the return period ended. The quality of the glass is only slightly better the the other brand, but, its not worth buying at the price I paid for Vivitar series.

Review: Happy with em in practice but feel a bit funny about the pouch folding over with just the mesh between them during storage/transit – in my mind it’ll be easy for dust to get in from the sides and like the mesh wouldn’t stop metal filter edges from inadvertently contacting glass on the opposite side when it’s all folded up, but maybe I’m being OCD about this and Vivitar can set my mind at ease. In the meantime I keeep em in their little plastic bags.

Review: I know DoF is supposed to be ultra tight when using macro filters but I do own some Opteka filters which I think give me more consistent results and easier to achieve focus with.Overall, these Vivitars are ok.
