If the buttons on your remote do not work.
1、Move the remote closer to the TV.
2、Repeat the setup steps.
3、Replace the batteries. Voice commands do not work.
4、You need to add the remote in the Fire TV settings. See the “SETTING UP YOUR REMOTE” section.
5、Voice commands do not work if you selected basic setup for your TV. To enable voice commands, reset your TV and select “Full” when prompted to pick a setup experience.
About the remote control settings
1. Make sure your TV is on and not in standby mode. Once the batteries are installed, you can turn on your TV with your new remote control.
2. On your Fire TV, go to Settings > Controllers and Bluetooth Devices > Amazon Fire TV Remote > Add New Remote > Amazon Fire TV Remote. Your TV will display a message saying “Searching for a remote…” .
3. When your TV displays the available remotes, select “Amazon Fire TV Remote”. It will briefly display the “Pairing remote controls… ” message. Note: Once paired with your TV, your remote may receive a software update. Please follow the on-screen instructions to complete.
4. Press the microphone button. If a new screen appears, the setup is complete.
